Wolf Connection System Research Project
In addition to the implementation of a new early alert and intervention program, special attention was given to the research elements of the program. In an attempt to measure the effectiveness of the program interventions, a formal research project was created. This project allowed the student success specialist to quantify and measure the effectiveness of the program, based on students that responded to requests for intervention and compare them to the student population that did not respond or participate. Consistently the population that received some form of intervention had an 8 to 9 percent increase in student success, compared to the population that did not respond or receive an intervention. While this research project is still ongoing, it is anticipated that students who received some form of intervention will have a higher retention rate, compared to the population that did not receive an intervention.
